Hey, I'm a Canadian and couldn't get to the Toronto festivities this year. I'm also a bisexual male married to a str8 female (10th anniversary next month). But I never forget who and what I am, the "rights" that came easily to me because of who I married aren't as easily for others and I'll always fight for equality. Here and around the world. Best wishes. In many ways we all have Stonewall to thank.

I'm glad it happened. Our voices needed to be heard. To let people know we are fed up with being pused around and enough was enough. Young GLBTQ are not as motivated about activism today. Some don't even know what the Stonewall riots were about. The young GLBTQ's have things more open today than what they used to be. Though is more dangerous hatered happening today too. We all need to continue what the Stonewall riots where about. To stay united as one and raise our voices. We will not go quietly in the dark. We will not be silent anymore.

I'm a PROUD lesbian living in the Kansas City,MO. area and it is my fream to come to N.Y.City and to visit the wonderful people at The Stonewall Inn, where if it weren't for those before us fought for their rights we my not be as free as we are today with a long way to go yet.

Today is the 40th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots. To every LGBT person out there, let me assure you, you are loved. To the intolerant bigots who believe we have no right to exist, let me assure you, you are wrong. WE WILL ROCK YOU!!!

G.P.: Gays and lesbians across the country were mourning Judy Garland. But her death was not the actual cause of the riot. It was sparked by years of injustice and discrimination by New York police. Before June 28, 1969, the "fairies" were supposed to quietly subject to arrest or leave following a bar bust. They had enough. So they fought back. And the rest, as they say, is history. GAY POWER!!!!!
