I am a former patron of those wonderful days at the Stonewall Inn. I am now 62 and fond memories of 1966.67 ,68, and glorious 1969! I lived in what was called LEATHER FLATS 165 Christopher street and I danced the nights away at the most memorable club ever. From the first moment the small sliding slot opened, so the front door could see who was there, was just the begining of a night of fantasy! two levels in the club played different music simultaniously as you wandered about in the shadows of HOT SWEATY BODIES looking for the nights delight! THOSE WERE THE GLORY DAYS IN MY BOOK>>>>but times finally changed and the world became a more informed place for straight and gay alike. Is anyone around who was there back in the day? thangs for the platform...MZM

Hi, I am a 55 year old female that is so deep in the closet that I burp moth balls. I live in Southern WV and God and everybody else knows it is probably the most homophobic place in the world. Believe it or not I found out about Stonewall Inn on our local educational channel and thought I would look into it. I hope someday I will be able to visit an Inn.

Hello! I just met the manager and forgot her name, But she told me there are ladies nights thurs and fri, which I didn't know. I have gay friends on Facebook overseas and they all know and revere the history of Stonewall. There are Italian trans pages on Sylvia Rivera. It's amazing and inspiring to me.

I was in town visiting a friend last week and told her I absolutely HAD to go to The Stonewall Inn. My friend didn't know the history so I explained it to her on our walk there and I think we both felt something when walking in. There weren't a lot of people so it gave us a great chance to walk around, headed upstairs and ended up hanging out with the Gen Mgr Sean who was tending bar the first time in a year and a half! Great guy, made us feel right at home, it was truly a great experience!! I can't wait to come back!
